John Riley, Founder
​
On a mission to make an impact in the lives of those who love golf, John is focused on creating, developing and promoting Fusion Golf Academy to become the premier player development facility in the region.
​
Prior to launching Fusion Golf Academy, John gained invaluable experience learning the art and science of golf instruction from renowned instructors while working for the Pebble Beach Company and locally at Aldarra Golf Club. Joe Thiel, Director Of Coaching
Golf Magazine Top 100 Instructor and PGA Master Professional , Joe counts many elite amateur and professional players among his students including recent PGA Tour winner and Tacoma-native Andrew Putnam as well as a host of elite players from Asia, including Alex Wu Ashen, the current #2 ranked player in China and winner of the 2018 KLM Open on the European Tour.
Respected for his professionalism and ability to connect with students as much as for his knowledge of the golf swing, Joe brings his proven approach helping junior golfers navigate the golf landscape from early beginnings all the way to professional success.

Ron Akin, Lead Instructor
An award winning PGA Professional and accomplished player, Ron enjoys teaching all aspects of the game. From his days as a Collegiate golfer at the University of Missouri, to his experience learning from the games top instructors, Ron loves helping students reach their goals and to play better golf! Erica Britchford-Steel, Instructor
​
With 20+ years experience as a coach, Erica’s specialty is introducing new golfers to the game of golf helping them make it a lifelong passion. Also a certified personal trainer, Erica loves combining her knowledge of health and fitness with golf to help players build skills and confidence they can take to the golf course!

Erica played college golf at The University of Alabama Birmingham and then played for five years as a pro on the Futures Tour (now the Symetra Tour) and the European Tour. In her role at Fusion Golf, Erica will help lead the charge as we develop and promote our efforts to grow the game in the area of Ladies Golf. With her special talents in this area, the future of Ladies Golf at FGA is looking bright!!

Bryan Stevens, Senior Instructor
A PGA Professional with over 20 years experience teaching, coaching and playing competitive golf. Bryan has worked with some of the area’s top junior players preparing them for collegiate golf and has 6 years collegiate coaching experience. Bryan has a long track record of improving his players and teaching them how to practice as well as problem solve to keep themselves moving forward!
